PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office has identified a man who apparently set himself on fire near a busy roadway in Kingwood Township Monday morning.
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office says 63-year old William Murphy, of Jackson, was already dead when Frenchtown Police and firefighters arrived at the scene on a stretch of a bike path between the Delaware River and Route 29, not far from the intersection with Barbertown-Kingwood Station Road.
The burning man was spotted by a passerby around 9:45 a.m., who immediately called police. Detectives from the New Jersey State Police and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's office are investigating the circumstances surrounding Williams' death.
