With New Brand, Philadelphia's Warwick Hotel Shows Off $20-Million Renovation

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A $20-million renovation is now complete at the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, near Rittenhouse Square.

Hotel general manager Joanne Cunningham says the addition of the "Blu" brand to the Radisson Warwick, at 17th and Locust Streets, has elevated the quality of the landmark hotel.

"Radisson Warwick Blu is a concept that was founded in Europe and it's now global and it's reached North America," she says.  "We're the third Radisson Blu in North America, and it is considered the upscale brand of our hotel brand, Radisson."

She says the hotel underwent a complete renovation -- "all of our guestrooms -- three hundred one -- the fitness center, and now the ultimate: this beautiful, beautiful lobby that we have here."

And with the renovations come an upgrade in services, she says.

"The amenities: we have a shoeshine service, we have in-room spa service now, three-hour express laundry, free Internet."
