Andrew Wiggins Admits He'll Enter Next Year's NBA Draft

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Most expect Andrew Wiggins will play one year playing basketball at the University Of Kansas, and then enter the NBA Draft and become the first overall pick.

Andrew Wiggins is one of those people who expect that to happen.

"I would say just being able to enjoy my last year of school," Wiggins told ESPN The Magazine about how he plans to handle this season. After a player graduates high school, he must be out of school for one full year before he enters the NBA Draft. Most go to college, as Wiggins is doing, few, like Pistons guard Brandon Jennings, play overseas.

As for his goals?

"Win another championship, a national championship," he said. "Follow in Anthony Bennett's footsteps of going number one." Anthony Bennett out of UNLV was the first overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 2014 NBA Draft is said to be the strongest overall draft in two decades, with Wiggins leading the charge.
