Police: Missing Phila. Man With Dementia Killed In NY Car Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police now say a missing man suffering from dementia was killed in an auto accident.

Ninety-eight-year-old Frank Winfrey of Philadelphia went missing on October 28th. Police were actively searching for him as of Tuesday, Oct. 29th (see previous story).

Now, police say that, sadly, Winfrey was killed in a car accident in Roslyn Heights, NY on Tuesday.

The circumstances of the accident were not immediately known.
