Chip Kelly Makes Fans Hungrier Than Andy Reid Did

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – We found out last year that losing makes Eagles fans hungrier than winning does. It seems that Chip Kelly has a similar effect.

According to GrubHub Seamless data, Eagles fans have ordered 15% more food this year during Eagles games through the first seven games, compared to the same games last season. When looking at 1pm games alone, the orders this year are 17% higher than last season.

GrubHub Seamless is a website that offers food delivery for 25,000 restaurants in 500 US Cities, including Philadelphia.

There are particular foods in Philadelphia that have seen a spike in orders this season:

Quesadillas are 52% more popular this year

Milkshakes are more than 50% more popular this year

Crab Rangoon are more than 24% more popular this year

Wings are nearly 13% more popular this year

Salads are more than 9% more popular this year

Cheesesteaks are nearly 9% more popular this year

Even with the 15% growth in orders, Philadelphia has not seen the biggest growth from during this season when compared to last season. Seattle has seen a 16% growth, while Philadelphia is tied for the second largest jump with Miami, Chicago and Green Bay.
