Local Centers Offering Free X-rays Of Halloween Candy

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – Parents worried about the contents of their child's Halloween trick-or-treating bag can breathe a sigh of relief.

This year, Patient First is offering free digital X-ray imaging of Halloween candy.

The urgent care organization says that bags of candy can be brought into any Patient First Neighborhood Medical Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31st.

While Patient First says parents should always inspect their child's candy, the x-ray offers another layer of protection and can detect objects like glass, metal or plastic.

In the Philadelphia area, Patient First centers are located in East Norriton and Montgomeryville, as well as in Wyomissing, Allentown and Lancaster.
