Rutgers-Camden Gets Generous Gift From NJ Family

By David Madden

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - A prominent South Jersey family has donated a million dollars to Rutgers-Camden to help the business school.

Daniel Ragone built up a successful accounting business -- successful enough to send three sons to college and set up a charitable foundation with his wife.

This week, they announced the grant that Rutgers-Camden chancellor Dr. Wendell Pritchett says will be put to good use:

"It's going to go to create the Ragone Center for Excellence in Accounting at our school for business, which is going to do a lot of different things," Pritchett said. "The focus will be connecting accounting professionals, our faculty and students in building what's already a terrific accounting program into a world-class program."
