Fire Damages Delaware Home, Family Displaced

CLAYMONT, DE (CBS) -- Fire officials are investigating an early morning blaze that ripped through a home in Claymont, Delaware.

The fire, reported shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday, occurred in the unit block of Second Avenue in Overlook Colony near the Philadelphia Pike.

Fire crews arrived on the scene with smoke pouring from the 2nd floor of the two-story home.

The fire caused heavy damage to the home, but no one was injured.

Seven family members, including three children, were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting them with emergency aid.
