Police: Man Stole Ornamental Rooster From Chanticleer Garden Then Fled On Razor Scooter

By Chelsea Karnash

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police say a Gilbertsville man stole garden décor from the Chanticleer Garden then fled the scene on a Razor scooter.

According to police, a patrolling officer spotted Frank William Bork, 47, on Oct. 10 around 1:50 a.m. near Conestoga Road and Louella Avenue in Wayne.

When asked why he was out in the area so late at night, Bork claimed to be exercising and said he was returning to the train station to go back to Pottstown.

After the officer asked for his ID, Bork claimed it was in his car at the train station, then grabbed his Razor scooter and fled from police.

During the ensuing foot chase, Bork dropped the scooter and fled on foot until he was eventually apprehended.

Once arrested, the officer found bolt cutters, a folding saw, screwdrivers and other tools in Bork's possession.

Bork later confessed to stealing five stone faces and a two-foot tall ornamental rooster from the Chanticleer Garden earlier that night, as well as to another theft from the Garden two weeks prior.

Frank William Bork is now facing a number of charges including resisting arrest, criminal trespass, theft and criminal mischief in connection to the crime.
