Aquarium Welcomes Newest Addition In Camden

CAMDEN, N.J., (CBS) -- The Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey just welcomed a new African Black-Footed Penguin chick.

The gender of the chick has not been determined, but it's doing very well, according to the aquarium.  The baby penguin weighed 2.3 ounces, or the weight of a golf ball.

Parents Jack and Diane are taking turns taking care of the chick as well as the staff at the aquarium.

The chick is one of two hatchlings born.  The second chick is expected to hatch any day now.  Jack and Diane will alternate keeping the egg warm until it hatches.  These chicks will join their sibling Little Ditty, who is five-years-old.
