Poll: Most Feel Republican-Controlled House Is Bad For America

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new survey reveals that most Americans feel a Republican-controlled House of Representatives is bad for the country.

According to the CNN/ORC poll, which involved 841 adults and was conducted via phone between Oct. 18 and 20, just 38% of respondents feel positive about the Republican-controlled House.

Meanwhile, 54% think GOP control is bad for the country.

Furthermore, most Americans would like to see Speaker of the House John Boehner replaced. Sixty-three-percent said they’d rather Boehner be replaced by another Republican than remain in his current post.

The poll comes just days after a deal was struck to end the government shutdown.
