Construction Results In Temporary Closure Of Camden County Bridge
LINDENWOLD, NJ (CBS) – Bridge construction in Camden County will necessitate the closure of a bridge this week.
The reconstruction of the Broadway Bridge between Gloucester City and Brooklawn will result in its closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
"Signs are in place and a suggested detour route has been posted," said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. "Please be mindful of construction crews in the roadway, and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your commute includes this area."
Officials say the $4 million-plus project includes the demolition of the existing structure over Little Timber Creek and construction of a new bridge including new abutments, bridge span, decking and parapets.
