Wilmington Police Charge Woman For 4th DUI Offense

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) — A Wilmington woman is facing a drunk driving charge in connection with a crash on Concord Pike that left several injured.

Delaware state police say 46-year-old Kimberly S. Mauk faces charges including vehicular assault for the Friday evening crash in Wilmington.

Police also say this is Mauk's fourth offense of driving under the influence. She was formally charged on Monday after being released from Christiana Hospital.

A publicly listed telephone number for Mauk was out of service.

Authorities say Mauk turned her car directly into the path of a Honda Accord. The vehicles collided at the intersection of Concord Pike and Fairfax Boulevard.

Four people in the other car suffered various injuries, and Mauk was also admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
