Police Say NJ Robbery Victim Chased Suspects

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a man was robbed at gunpoint near a Pizza Hut in New Jersey and then followed the vehicle that his assailants drove away in, eventually giving way to police.

Galloway Township police say the two men in the car led officers on a chase until they crashed in the woods early Saturday. They say the driver, 25-year-old Chadwyn Norman, was arrested on site and the passenger, Juaquan Fitzgerald, who's also 25, fled and was found later. Police say marijuana was found in the car.

Norman and Fitzgerald are charged with armed robbery, eluding authorities, possession and weapons offenses. They're being held on $200,000 bail each in an Atlantic County jail and weren't available for comment. A message seeking information on whether they have attorneys was left with prosecutors.
