Police: Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault After 5-Month-Old Suffers Fractured Skull
LEMOYNE, Pa., (CBS) -- West Shore Regional Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault after a 5-month old suffered severe head injuries including a fractured skull and severe bruising to his body.
Robert Lee Kelley, Jr., of Lemoyne, was arrested Monday and charged with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft by Unlawful Taking.
Police say they originally took a report of suspected child abuse on Oct. 10 from a local hospital. Through an investigation, police say officers learned that a 5-month old victim suffered severe head injuries including a fractured skull and severe bruising to his body.
Kelley was arraigned by MDJ Beckley and bail was set at $100,000.
He was committed to the Cumberland County Prison with a preliminary hearing date set for Oct. 23.
