CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS)-- A man who tried to set fire to an East Camden bike shop using a crude Molotov cocktail was arrested shortly after the incident.

On Monday at approximately 2:30 p.m., Officer Fernando Badillo responded to a call about a man trying to burn down a business at the corner of River and Reeves Avenues.

City firefighters at the scene observed a glass bottle filled with gasoline and a rag that had been set next to a garage door. There was also a burned dark spot on the wall of the building.

As police and Camden Fire Department personnel were investigating, suspect Edgar Carrasquillo, 31, of Camden, was observed driving by the scene. Officer Badillo stopped Carrasquillo and arrested him.

Carrasquillo was charged with Arson and remanded to the county jail with bail set at $35,000 cash or bond.
