Woman Dies In School Bus Accident On Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)-– Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly accident involving a school bus in Northeast Philadelphia.

The accident was reported at about 4 p.m. at Roosevelt Boulevard near Plaza Drive.

According to police, a 46-year-old woman allegedly made an illegal turn on Roosevelt Boulevard and Plaza Drive and made contact with the school bus and another vehicle.

She was transported to Aria Health Torresdale Campus, where she was pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m.

Police say there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident.

The inner lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard were shut down between Roosevelt Boulevard and Plaza Drive as police investigated.
