Police Find Suspect Hiding Under A Parked Truck After Shooting In Juniata

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a second man involved in shooting overnight Thursday in Juniata.
It happened in the 1000 block of East Luzerne Street.
Police say a 21-year-old woman and her 20-year-old friend were walking home from a convenience store when two men approached them.
One suspect showed a gun and announced a robbery.
"We're getting information that both females gave the perpetrators cash, and even though these robbers got cash, one perpetrator for some reason fired three shots at very close range at this 21-year- old victim," said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Police found her in the street suffering from two gunshot wounds. She is listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.
The woman she was with was able to escape the men.
One block away, police found a man hiding under a pick-up truck with a semi-automatic handgun.
"The suspect was positively identified by witnesses as the individual that shot this 21-year-old female," said Chief Inspector Small.
The incident remains under investigation.
