Philadelphia Ranked Fairest City Of Them All

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia has been ranked the fairest city of them all.

According to the 2013 Be Fair Survey conducted by Fair Trade USA, the City of Brotherly Love should also be commended for the fairness of its residents.

Not only did Philadelphia earn the top spot on the list, but the city is also home to the best tippers in the country, with 88% leaving tips of 15% or more when dining out (versus 74% of the general population).

In second place was Boston, followed by Dallas.

Fair Trade USA questioned nearly 4,000 people 18 and older between July 24 and August 12, 2013 about their beliefs and habits pertaining to fairness. Survey participants were asked questions such as whether or not they hold the door for others or turn off the lights when they leave the room.

Fair Trade USA says that October is Fair Trade Month, when Americans are encouraged to shop fair trade.
