Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By SEPTA Train

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--According to reports, a pedestrian was struck by an inbound SEPTA Suburban Rail Line train just north of the Forest Hills Station around 11:30 a.m.

The Philadelphia Fire Department has confirmed the pedestrian has died.

The location is just above Byberry Road in the Somerton section of the city.

Service has been temporarily suspended on the West Trenton Regional Rail Line due to police activity.

There is no word on why the pedestrian was on the tracks.
