Wednesday's Child: Jazmeer

By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Jazmeer really enjoys singing.  He wants to see his name in lights some day, but for him it's not all about the fame.

"I mostly want to become a successful actor, because I want to show kids that if you grow up with nothing you can always make something out of yourself," he tells Wednesday's Child.

Well-spoken, intelligent, and confident, it's easy to forget that Jazmeer is only thirteen years old.  But this talented young man still needs a family.  What kind of family?

"I would want people who are open to my ideas and who wouldn't want to put me down.  People who are willing to help me explore and find myself.  And I want people who will always be there for me in times of trouble and who will always have my back."

For more information about adopting Jazmeer or any other "Wednesday's Child," go to the National Adoption Center's web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
