Police: 25-Year-Old Man Shot In Back During Robbery In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del., (CBS) – Police say a 25-year-old man was shot in the lower back during a robbery late Monday night in Wilmington.
It happened around 11:42 p.m. as the victim as walking in the 300 block of W. 24th Street.
Wilmington Police say the victim was approached by a group of four to five males, between 17 and 25-years-old, wearing all dark clothing. According to police, one of the suspects displayed a handgun and shot the victim.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Wilmington Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
