Investigation determined that the boy was walking alone on the sidewalk on the 600 block of Westerly Drive when he was approached by a male driving a grey-colored sport utility vehicle. The man allegedly said to the boy, "I have your birthday gift, get in the truck."

The boy immediately ran home and told his mother, who then called the police.
