EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS)– On September 29th at approximately 11:39 a.m., the Evesham Police Department responded to the 600 block of Westerly Drive for a reported luring attempt of a seven-year-old boy.

Investigation determined that the boy was walking alone on the sidewalk on the 600 block of Westerly Drive when he was approached by a male driving a grey-colored sport utility vehicle. The man allegedly said to the boy, “I have your birthday gift, get in the truck.”

The boy immediately ran home and told his mother, who then called the police.

The man is described as a white male, mid to late twenties, blonde short hair and no facial hair.

The seven-year-old victim also observed a young child secured in a baby seat inside the vehicle.

Police searched the neighborhood, but the suspect’s vehicle was not located nor were any witnesses to the event.

Evesham Police say there is no direct tie between this incident at the child luring in Lindenwold. (See Previous Story)
