PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Magazine’s tenth annual Whiskey Fest takes place next month at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia Magazine president David Lipson says there will be something for everyone at this October 24th event.

“It’s Whiskey Fest so there will be whiskey, as well as a lot of other spirits. But, we figure around 270 different spirits will be there.”

He says folks can try a variety of spirits. Some, he says, are rare and very expensive.

“For example, we are going to have the cult whiskey Pappy Van Winkle.  It’s the whiskey that even billionaires can’t buy because it’s so rare.  People are on waiting lists to get their bottle.”

Reporter: “And if you do get your bottle, how much do you have to pay for it?”

Lipson: “Everybody wants to know that price!  If you can find the bottle — I mean — on the secondary market it could be in the thousands of dollars for a bottle.”
