Robertson Leads Villanova Past Penn 35-6

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — John Robertson passed for three touchdowns, rushed for a 36-yard TD and accounted for 398 total yards of offense in leading Villanova to a 35-6 victory over Pennsylvania Saturday night.

Robertson was 19 of 28 for 266 yards, with two TD strikes to Poppy Livers and the other to Joe Price as the Wildcats (2-2) won their second straight game. Robertson, who is also Villanova's leading rusher, added 15 carries for a game-high 132 yards.

The Wildcats forced four turnovers, including two interceptions by Joe Sarnese. Craig James also returned a blocked field goal 73 yards for a touchdown.

The Wildcats had a 21-0 third-quarter lead before Billy Ragone completed a 9-yard TD pass to Spencer Kulcsar for the Quakers' (1-1) only score. Ragone was 18 of 35 for 192 yards.

Villanova has now defeated Penn in 12 straight years.
