PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The names are out for who is hosting and performing at the 15th annual Marian Anderson Awards.

Mo-town founder Berry Gordy will be the honoree at this years show, which will be hosted by….

“We are amazed and pleased to have the actor and comedian Chris Tucker as host for the event,” the show’s executive director Pat Moran said.

Moran says the audience is in for a treat with this years performers:

“Smokey Robinson, Boys II Men, Kool and the Gang; we are also very fortunate to have from MoTown the musical, Brandon Victor Dixon — he actually plays Berry Gordy in the musical.”

Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff will also be apart of the gala.

The show takes place at the Kimmel Center on November 19th. The money raised from the event helps fund a grant program for young artists from Philadelphia.
