Camden County Officials Confirm Fifth Case Of West Nile

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – Camden County officials say a fifth case of West Nile Virus has been confirmed in the county.

A 73-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital with a high fever and low blood pressure on Sept. 2nd. She later developed seizures and breathing difficulties and was transferred to a hospital in Philadelphia on Sept. 6th, where she tested positive for West Nile.

Officials say the woman's condition remains unimproved.

So far, four other cases of the virus have been confirmed in Camden County this year.
