Little Being Said About Safe Return Of Missing Chester County Woman

By Kim Glovas and Jenn Bernstein

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A missing Chester County woman (see previous story) has been found safe.

Lt. Bill Cahill of the Westtown-East Goshen Township Regional police says 23-year-old Tammeara Lowe was found in a local hospital under a different name and is in good health, but he would not elaborate.

He said that public dissemination of the missing woman's story helped locate her.

Lowe disappeared last Friday afternoon, after leaving the McDonald's restaurant on Adams Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia where she worked.

On Tuesday afternoon, someone walking in the Tookany Creek Park area in Philadelphia found Lowe's cell phone, pants, shirt, shoes, and socks on a rock.  Police were called and marine units searched the nearby creek for her body.

Now, on Thursday, Lt. Cahill says Lowe is safe and there is no evidence of foul play.

Lowe's family, meanwhile, hugged and cried on Thursday afternoon after finding out she was okay.

"They're telling me that they found her, she's at Einstein Hospital," said Valence Lowe. "They said she's okay. I'm going to go get her, I'm going to go see her."
