MAGNOLIA, N.J., (CBS) – Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide in Magnolia, Camden County Wednesday night.

Investigators say 66-year-old Henry Yip, of the 300 block of E. Washington Avenue shot his wife, 54-year-old Vicki Yip. He then shot himself.

Police initially responded to the home around 7 p.m. after receiving a call from a relative to check on the couple's welfare.

According to investigators, a responding officer saw a person in the home then heard a gunshot.

Residents were forced inside their homes as SWAT team members surrounded the residence.

Neighbors have since been allowed back inside of their homes.

The incident remains under investigation.
