Police Officer, Driver Injured In Clementon Crash

 CLEMENTON, N.J., (CBS) – Investigators say a Lindenwold police officer and a driver were injured in an accident in Clementon, Camden County Wednesday night.

The accident was reported shortly before 6 p.m. at Route 30 and Gibbsboro Road.

According to Lindenwold Police, the officer was on eastbound Route 30, stopped preparing to turn left onto Gibbsboro Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Route 30.

The officer and the driver of the vehicle were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

The intersection has been reopened and the accident is currently being investigated by the Camden County Crash Investigation Team.
