UPDATE: Pilot Killed In Small Plane Crash In Atlantic County Identified

HAMILTON Twp., N.J., (CBS) – Officials have identified the pilot that was killed in a small engine plane crash in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County Friday night.

On September 23rd,  the occupant of the airplane was positively identified as Anthony C. Kelly, 44, from Washington Twp, NJ.

The incident was reported on Friday evening near Columbia Road and Cypress Street in the township's Laureldale section.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a Vans (RV7A) homebuilt aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances about five miles northwest of Atlantic City International Airport.

The FAA says the pilot was the only person on board at the time of the crash.

The investigation into the cause of the airplane crash is being conducted by members of the NTSB and Detective Michael Robison of the Township of Hamilton Police Department.
