Bank Robbery In Claymont, Del. Sends Nearby School Into Lockdown

CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) — Archmere Academy was on lockdown today and a stretch of Philadelphia Pike was closed because of a police investigation stemming from a bank robbery this morning in Claymont, Del.

Delaware state police say the heist was committed about 9:30am at an M&T Bank branch in the 3500 block of Philadelphia Pike. The suspects took off but left a suspicious package behind.

Troopers were investigating, and a bomb squad was on the scene.
