Camden County Borough Offers Restaurant Week Geared Towards Kids
Get Breaking News First
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ (CBS) – Restaurant Weeks abound in the Philadelphia area, but what about a restaurant week that’s geared towards kids?
It’s a first, and it’s happening in Collingswood, NJ from Sunday, Sept. 22 through Friday, Sept. 27.
Six Collingswood restaurants are slated to participate: The Pop Shop, Casona, Villa Barone, The Tortilla Press, Indya and Benny’s Burger Joint.
And you can “forget chicken fingers”—the town says the point of the weeklong event is to get kids interested in different, healthy foods.
Casona, for example, is offering three courses for $10, including roasted pork served over rice and pita pizzas, while Benny’s Burger Joint has created a veggie mac ‘n cheese.
And there are even a few restaurants in surrounding towns that are joining in, such as Norma’s in Cherry Hill and The Tortilla Press in Merchantville.
