PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — At seven years old, Zaire loves having fun.

“I’m a person who likes to play football and who likes art,” he says.

But this young man is serious when it comes to finding a family, “because you need somebody to take care of you, and you don’t want to go house-to-house and never find a house.”

And he says he would love a family with pets.

Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center, based in Philadelphia, says Zaire is a young charmer.

“When I asked him why a family was important to him, he told me, ‘Everyone needs someone.’ And he certainly does.”

For more information about adopting Zaire or any other “Wednesday’s Child,” go to the National Adoption Center’s web site,, or call 215-735-9988.
