Police Investigate Report of Cop Impersonator in Bensalem

BENSALEM, Pa., (CBS) -- Police are investigating a report of a man impersonating a cop in Bensalem early Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the 3200 block of Hulmeville Road, between Park Avenue and Hansel Drive.

According to Bensalem Township police, the victim reported being pulled over by a white Chevrolet Impala that displayed red and blue lights on the front grill, on the dashboard and on the rear deck.  Police say the suspect asked for his driver's license, but drove off after the victim exited his car because he suspected the "cop" being an imposter.

The suspect is described as white male in his 40's, about six-feet-tall, thin build with short dark hair light beard with gray in it, pointy nose and sharp facial features.  He was wearing a blue long sleeve sweater with black pants and dark sneakers.
