Blog: Clarifi Holding FREE College Planning Workshops
By Jim Donovan: Financial literacy organization Clarifi is holding FREE college planning workshops in the Philadelphia region now through November. The workshops are part of the nonprofit's college planning service, Clarifi College, and are designed for parents/guardians of high school students.
Clarifi College: College Planning Made Clear will help attendees with the process of planning and paying for college.
Topics will include:
• Selecting a school that offers the best financial aid package
• Exploring funding options, including how to maximize financial aid
• Tips for graduating with less college debt
Additionally, attendees will be shown how to start their own comprehensive plan for attending college.
"The college planning process can certainly be confusing, so our goal is to break it down into manageable steps," says Chris Chaplin, College Planning Advisor for Clarifi College, who will be leading the workshops. "At the same time, we want to make sure families know about strategies to lessen the amount of debt they take on."
