Suspect Allegedly Eats Heroin As Police Investigate Suspicious Vehicle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Cherry Hill police say a man allegedly ate a bag of suspected heroin while officers investigated a suspicious vehicle Tuesday night.

According to authorities, police located a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road at Route 38 and Longwood Avenue.

Authorities say through investigation, police concluded the car was stopped so a passenger could allegedly inject heroin.

The passenger, Justice L. McCay, of Mt. Holly, was found in possession of Heroin, Crack Cocaine and Cocaine, according to police.

While police spoke with McCay, authorities say he allegedly ate a bag of suspected heroin in an attempt to destroy evidence.

He was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin and Cocaine and related charges.

He was also transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
