Phillies Give Ball To Halladay Vs. Washington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies will look to win their series against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night as they play the rubber game of the three-game set.

The Phillies won the series opener on Monday night by a score of 3-2. Washington bounced back to take Tuesday night's game, 9-6.

Roy Halladay will make his third start since returning from shoulder surgery in this game. In the first two, he has gone 1-0, allowing seven runs in 11 innings of work. He has walked four batters and struck out just three in those starts. In his career, Halladay has dominated the Nationals, going 12-2 in 18 games with a 2.55 ERA.

Washington counters on the mound with right-hander Jordan Zimmermann who is 15-8 this season.
