Tires Slashed In South Philly Neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Residents on a South Philadelphia street are angry after they woke up Saturday to find their tires slashed.

People say the vandalism happened on the 2600 block of South Juniper Street.

Residents say at least five cars and seven tires were damaged. Some residents say they heard a strange noise and woke up to see some kids slashing the tires.

"It's very unsafe," neighbor Carol Lavos said. "I feel like there's people walking through the streets doing things in the middle of the night, early hours of the morning. You feel violated in your own neighborhood."

People on the block want the teens and their parents to come forward and pay for all of the damaged tires.
