Bucks County Mom Sentenced For Using Daughter, 7, For Child Porn

By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 35-year-old Quakertown (Bucks County) woman was sentenced today to 25 years in prison for taking pornographic pictures of her daughter in 2010 and sending them to her boyfriend in South Jersey, who in turn sent them to a collector in Australia.

The defendant (all names in this story are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim), separated from her husband at the time, took hundreds of pornographic, suggestive, and otherwise inappropriate pictures of her seven-year-old daughter, also taking pictures while allowing her boyfriend to molest the child.

The distraught father told his wife in court that the easiest thing in the world to do is to protect your own child, but that she chose to exploit rather than protect.  But he says he is not focused on hating his estranged wife.

"My heart, body, and soul are focused on protecting and loving my daughter," the father said today.

Judge Mitchell Goldberg called the crimes "heinous beyond heinous."

"You never like to say, 'In all my years as a state and federal prosecutor and state and federal judge that I haven't seen anything this disturbing, but I think this is that day," Goldberg said today.

The defendant's boyfriend was sentenced earlier to 25 years in prison.
