Phillies Fans Say Manuel's Number Should Be Retired
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – On Friday, Charlie Manuel was unexpectedly fired as Phillies manager in controversial fashion. After nine years in Philadelphia, including a World Series parade down Broad Street in 2008, it was sad to see Manuel go.
The WIP Morning Show asked on the Audio Roadshow app, "Should the Phillies have let Charlie Manuel finish the season as manager?" 80% of fans said yes (results here).
The Mike and Ike Show asked if the Phillies should retire Manuel's number, and again, the majority of fans (66%, results here) said yes.
