Gloucester Township Man Charged With Two Attempted Lurings

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – A man has been arrested and charged with attempting to lure two juveniles in Gloucester Township.

Police say that on Aug. 18, Gloucester Township Police responded to the Huntington Mews Condominium complex for reports of an attempted luring.

Several juveniles had apparently been playing n front of 62-year-old William Lacy's building when he called over to two of the children.

Lacy reportedly offered a 6-year-iold girl a dollar if she would come into his apartment. When she refused, he then called over a seven-year-old girl and started a conversation with her.

During the conversation, Lacy attempted to grab the child by the wrist, but she was able to pull away, run inside and report the incident to her mother.

Lacy was taken into police custody and charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Luring. He is being held in Camden County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bail.
