Police Investigating Brutal, ‘Personal’ Murder Of Teen In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are investigating the “brutal” and “very personal” murder of a teenager in Northeast Philadelphia Monday.
The body of 19-year-old Daquan Crump was found at a construction site in 10000 block of Northeast Avenue in the Somerton section of the city at about 7 a.m.
According to investigators, the body was found by workers arriving for work, who then called 911.
Philadelphia Police Homicide Captain James Clark said Crump was shot nearly a dozen times in the face and head. Clark called the murder brutal and “very, very personal.”
Clark said Crump worked at a nearby Wendy’s fast food restaurant and was last seen leaving work around 11 p.m. Saturday.
According to Clark, Crump did not have any prior police record.

The investigation is ongoing.
