PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you are frustrated that you have not lost weight this summer like you planned, you are not alone. In fact, many of us often get through those cold winter months with the thought that a summer of warmth and exercise will help us lose those extra pounds.
The truth of the matter is that the combination of warm temperatures, a larger number of opportunities to go to picnics and other celebrations often don’t mix so well with losing weight. That is why I am a big proponent of telling people that the end of the summer and the fall may be your best chance to knock off those extra pounds. It gets cooler but comfortable and the holiday season – your next big weight challenge is months away.
So do not be discouraged. Go for it now.
