Search Resumes For Missing 15-Year-Old In Pennypack Creek

By Al Novack

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Divers have returned to the rough waters of the Pennypack Creek to search for a missing 15-year-old.

Crews began assembling just after 6 a.m. and given the go ahead to resume what’s being called a search/recovery operation for Sebastian Shannon, 15, of Oxford Circle.

Shannon and three friends were riding their bikes Tuesday night when they stopped to dip their feet in the water. The teen apparently slipped, fell in and was swept away by the rushing water in the rain swollen creek.

Search crews called off the search late Tuesday due to darkness and dangerous conditions in the water.
