HELLERTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Two people have been charged in 76 residential burglaries and one attempted burglary in three different counties.

Twenty-seven-year-old Patrick Quinn, of Lower Saucon Township, and 22-year-old Kelly Cunningham, of Hellertown, are charged with the crimes, which occurred in vacant houses up for sale in Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks and Carbon counties between November 23, 2012 and May 24, 2014.

The pair allegedly stole copper pipes, copper fittings and valves, tools and other similar items and sold them for scrap at various scrap yards in the area. The total amount of good stolen was about $205,807.

Officials say the GPS in Cunningham’s vehicle helped to link the two to the crime scenes.

Quinn and Cunningham are charged with 76 counts each of burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, and one count of attempted burglary.
