Dog Shot During Home Invasion In Holmesburg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are looking for three, possibly four men, who broke into a home in the 8200 block of Frankford Avenue in Holmesburg at about 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

At least two of the men were armed and one of them shot the homeowner’s dog.

No one else was hurt.

The homeowner escaped by jumping from a second story window.

The dog is alive and being treated for gunshot wounds.

Police are still trying to determine if anything was taken before the suspects fled.

So far, there are no arrests.
