Youth Wrestling Coach Arrested In Montco For Child Porn

By Brad Segall

HATBORO, Pa. (CBS) - A youth wrestling coach is under arrest in Montgomery County accused of viewing and distributing child pornography.

Prosecutors say it was a tip from the Department of Homeland Security that a computer in Hatboro was disseminating explicit images from the e-mail address freestyler149@aim.com. That address was tracked to 50-year-old Thomas Porter, an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy High School in Bucks County and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Wrestling Team.

Prosecutor Tom McGoldrick says there's no evidence he created the images, or was involved in any physical contact, but this crime still has victims.

"if there was no demand for this type of pornography...for this type of exploitation of children...then the children would not be exploited," McGoldrick said.

Court documents reveal Porter admitted to investigators that he viewed the images. He's being held on $50,000 cash bail, He's charged with sexual abuse of children and related offenses.
