CBS Comedy Buzz Tour To Make Stops In Philadelphia and Wildwood

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's been coast-to-coast and now the "CBS Comedy Buzz Tour," a summer-long road trip promoting the CBS comedy line-up for fall, is headed our way.

CBS reality star veteran Burton Roberts (Survivor: Pearl Islands) will be on board when the Buzz Bus pulls into Philadelphia on Thursday, August 15th in time for an appearance on CBS 3 This Morning with Ukee Washington and Erika von Tiehl.  The Bus will also be live at 12 noon from a Center City location on Talk Philly with Washington and Pat Ciarrocchi, then head down the shore to Wildwood, New Jersey where it will join CBS 3 Meteorologist Kathy Orr and the Mobile Weather Lab in time for her "Orr at the Shore" broadcasts from outside the Wildwoods Convention Center on Eyewitness News at 5 and 6 p.m.

The Buzz Tour is promoting the Network's eight fall comedy series -- CBS's largest number of comedies since its 1997-1998 schedule -- by going straight to fans throughout the country. Activities will include giveaways, contests and sneak peeks of CBS's most buzzed-about comedies and the opportunity to be inserted into cast photos of the CBS shows which can be shared on social media sites.  Fans can follow the CBS Comedy Buzz Tour through Philly and Wildwood on Facebook (CBS Philly), on Twitter @cbsphilly and on CBSPhilly.com.

In 2003, Burton Roberts was a contestant on CBS's popular reality television series "Survivor: Pearl Islands," the series' seventh season, after which he created the cable series "Camp Reality."  Roberts also raced in "Eco-Challenge: Fiji," competed on the cable show, "Battle of the Network Reality Stars," appears as himself in the motivational  DVD "The Compass," is featured in the book Spirit of Adventure: Eagle Scouts and the Making of America's Future and, through Around the World Productions, occasionally hosts for the Travel Channel and on "Tales from the Trail."

The new CBS comedy series THE CRAZY ONES, THE MILLERS, MOM and WE ARE MEN join the Network's returning hit comedies THE BIG BANG THEORY, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, 2 BROKE GIRLS and TWO AND A HALF MEN.

Details on the four new series follows:

MOM, to debut Monday, Sept. 23 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Anna Faris as Christy, a newly sober single mom and waitress raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls, and multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney stars as Bonnie, Christy's critical, estranged mother.  MOM also stars Nate Corddry as Christy's married boss – and lover; French Stewart as the restaurant's hot-tempered chef; Sadie Calvano and Blake Garrett Rosenthal as Christy's children; Matt Jones as Christy's son's father; and Spencer Daniels as Christy's daughter's boyfriend.  Chuck Lorre is an executive producer.

THE MILLERS, premiering Thursday, Sept. 26 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Will Arnett as Nathan Miller, a recently divorced local roving news reporter looking forward to living the singles' life until his parents (Emmy Award winner Margo Martindale and Emmy Award winner Beau Bridges) unexpectedly decide to divorce, leaving his meddlesome mother to move in with him.  Meanwhile, Nathan's absent-minded dad imposes upon Nathan's sister, her husband and their daughter. Nathan's best friend and news cameraman (JB Smoove) was excited to be Nathan's wingman in the dating scene, but Nathan's mother manages to even cramp his style. Now, as Nathan and his sister settle in with their truly impossible parents, they both wonder just how long the aggravating adjustment period is going to last.  Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia ("Raising Hope" and "My Name is Earl") is the executive producer.

In THE CRAZY ONES, to debut Thursday, Sept. 26 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), Academy Award winner Robin Williams returns to series television as larger-than-life advertising genius Simon Roberts whose unorthodox methods and unpredictable behavior would get him fired… if he weren't the boss.  Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Simon's focused, organized and driven daughter – who is also his partner at their powerful agency.   THE CRAZY ONES also stars James Wolk, Hamish Linklater and Amanda Setton as staffers at the firm.  Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner David E. Kelley ("Ally McBeal" and "The Practice"), Bill D'Elia, Emmy Award winner Jason Winer ("Modern Family") are EP's.

WE ARE MEN, premiering Monday, Sept. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), is about four single guys living in a short-term apartment complex who unexpectedly find camaraderie over their many missteps in love.  Carter (Chris Smith), the youngest and most recent addition to the group, moved in after being ditched at the altar mid-ceremony, and is now eager to re-enter the dating scene and get on with his life with some guidance from his "band of brothers":  a middle-aged clothing manufacturer and four-time divorcée who still fancies himself a ladies man (Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Award winner Tony Shalhoub); a small business owner who was caught having the world's worst affair (Kal Penn); and a speedo-wearing OB/GYN who's hiding his assets until his second divorce is settled (Jerry O'Connell).
