Terrell Owens Agent Talking To Teams, Should Eagles Be One?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Even with Riley Cooper back, the Eagles are short a wide receiver. Not just a wide receiver, but Jeremy Maclin, who would have likely been the team's #1 option at the position.

Most reports say the Eagles will go with what they have. Between DeSean Jackson, Cooper, second year player Damaris Johnson, Jason Avant, Arrelious Benn, and a ton of tight ends and running backs, they will try to make do.

There is one former Eagles wide receiver, who is available, who may be able to help the team.

Terrell Owens has not given up his desire to play in the NFL, and his agent says there is interest.

"I know if he goes out there and gets a shot, he'll make a team," Owens' agent Jordan Woy told ESPN. "We've talked to a lot of teams that have said he's a great talent, we're set as of right now, but if we have injuries, we may reach back out."

"He really wants to play," Woy told ESPN. "He knows he's up against the wall, but he really wants to play."

The 39 year-old Owens has not played in the NFL since 2010, when he started 11 games for the Cincinnati Bengals. Owens has almost 16,000 career receiving yards, and 153 touchdowns in 15 NFL seasons.
